look what i did!

Matthew 6:1

Be careful not to do your "acts of righteousness" before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. Doing good things is great, but just as important as the good things you do is your attitude behind it. If you help people or encourage friends just so they'll like you or to impress them, then that's all the reward you'll get for it. Personally, I'd rather do as this verse suggests and do my "acts of righteousness" for God's glory alone and receive His reward. I'm sure His rewards are a lot bigger than the temporary satisfaction that comes from knowing someone noticed me for a second.

yeah thats true. like a lot of people just want attention and thats why they do good things. but thats not what God wants. we should like try to do some things like that in our youth group like "acts of righteousness" for people who need help or something.
